Historically, Tidyco had suffered problems with the various types of communications that are necessary with Customers in today's market place. Our Customers' requirements for timely order acknowledgements, pre-delivery advice of despatch details for "inbound smoothing", despatch notes with certificates of conformity, accurate invoices and timely statements caused a huge administrative burden for Tidyco. A single order would often result in up to 6 pieces of paper being faxed or posted to the Customer. It has to be said that on several occasions, human error meant that the Customer's Purchase ledger clerk would get the pre-delivery advice, the Logistics Controller/scheduler would get the statement and the Buyer would get the invoice! This caused not only confusion at the Customer's end, but resulted in numerous further requests for proofs of delivery and numerous invoice queries with associated late payments!
